Programming is not an alien word for all of us. Specially if you are a computer science student. Some of you must be a beginner programmers or professional programmers living the dream of working as a coder or trying to be the part of  any multinational company like Google, Facebook or Microsoft. 

As a programmer you must have think about all the programming languages as well as the inventor of those programming languages. There are many programming languages around us we have . But the real question here is do you know who are the greatest programmers of the world. Sure,You want to be the greatest programmer or consider yourself as the great programmer by creating any mobile app ,desktop application or any successful website. But trust me this is not the thing i'm taking about I'm taking about the greatest programmers who transform the world of programming by creating some thing unique which everybody is using nowadays even successful programmers like you or any-others in a multinational company or freelancers. 1. Dennis Ritchie: If you a hardcore programmer or you have any sense of coding language then you must have heard of this gentleman's name "Dennis Ritchie" Creator of "C" programming language. He and his longtime friend "Ken Thomspon". In 1983 they received Turning Award from the ACM, in 1990, the "Hamming Award" from "ICEE" and 1999,  they received the "National Medal of Technology" from then president of America Bill Clinton.  Dennis Ritchie also served as a head of Lucent Technologies system Software Research Department. 

2. Bjarne Stroustrup: If you are aware of C++ programming language but don't know who created this programming language, then this is right time for you to know all about this creator of C++. It was this Danish computer scientist "Bjarne Stroustrup" who you should be thankful for giving you this excellent new version of C language "C++". He is still working a visiting professor at Columbia University and also works at Morgan Stanley. 

3. James Gosling: James Arthur Gosling, the father of the "Java" programming language is a well known Canadian computer scientist. He has many successful contribution to other software systems like NeWS and Gosling Emacs. Looking at his achievement he got a elected a Foreign Associate member of the United States National Academy of Engineering. 

4. Linus Torvalds: Do your works of computer operating system that has Linux operating system , then thanks to this genius Finnish American software engineer  Linus Benedict Torvalds. Apart from Linux kernel, he is also known his work on revision control system "Git" and diving log software "Subsurface". For his work on Linux operation system he, along with Shinya Yamanaka was awarded Millennium Technology Prize by the Technology Academy Finland in the year 2012.

5. Andres Hejlsberg: Apart from Bjarne Stroustrup, Andres Hejlsberg is an other Danish software engineer who contributed in designing many programming languages and web development tools. Best for recognize as a creator of programming language "C#".  He also wrote "Turbo Pascal" and works as a chief architect of Delphi. Currently, he is working as a lead architect of C# at Microsoft and core developer on Typescript. 

6. Tim Berners-Lee: Known as "TimBL", Sir Timothy John "Tim" Berners Lee is a well known British computer scientist. He is better known a father of "World Wide Web" which in common language we call "INTERNET". It was in 1989 he made successful communication between  HTTP   ( Hypertext Transfer Protocol ) client and server via Internet. He also serves as a head of World Wide Web Consortium ( W3C ), which is popular body  who looks Oversees the Web's continued developed. 

7. Brian Kernighan: Brian Kernighan is a Canadian computer scientist. Along with "Dennis Ritchi" and "Ben Thompson" he worked at Bell Labs. His contribution towards Unix operating system is well known. He is coauthor of the AWK and AMPL programming languages. 

8. Ken Thompson: Ken Thompson is an american computer scientist commonly known as Ken in hacker circles. You may have heard of C programming language, but did you know that there is also "B programming language", it is a direct predecessor of the C programming language. This B language is invented by Brian Kernighan. He also worked as a lead developer of the Plan 9 operating systems. He works at Google, where he co-invented the Go programming language.

9. Guido van Rossum: Better known as the author of the Python programming language, Guido van Rossum  is a Dutch computer programmer. He is also known as "Benevolent Dictator For Life" (BDFL). He also worked at Google. Known for developing Python programming language. Currently, he is working at Dropbox. 

10. Donald Knuth: Donald Ervin Knuth is an American computer scientist, mathematician, and professor at Stanford University. Knuth is known for his work "The Art of Computer programming". He has been called "father" of the analysis of algorithms. Knuth is the creator of the TeX computer typesetting system , the rendering system and the Computer Modern Family of typefaces.
